In 1992, Christian Guignard, in search of new sets of themes, associated with Maïté Marquebieille, Jacki Dudemaine and the Chief Herve Back Santos, open Appart, then a few years later, on December 15, 1997, Spicy. In spite of its Anglo-Saxon name, Spicy was in the beginning a restaurant centered on the grill room and the white meats. In its definition first, Spicy results in spiced. Here, it evoked at the same time heat, the color, an environment, a decoration, a reception and a style spiced, i.e. dynamic. The first decoration rested on clear wood, the hot colors and fires of the spit-roasters. It was signed by Robert Dupuch, François Wapler and Miguel Cancio-Martins, authors of the architecture and the decoration of many Parisian restaurants in vogue like the Western Quay, Buddha Bar, Barfly and Appart. In 2001, the restaurant was taken again in 2001 per Jean-Philippe and Pierre-François Blanc who animate it still to date. In 2007, the decoration was entirely revisited by Maurice Savinel and Roland Bevillon to make of Spicy a true villa with the accents of the South, the manner charming dune and vast Mediterranean residence. With this occasion the restaurant was renamed Villa Spicy. When one settles there, in one moment, lesprit sévade some share in the South. A pure puff doxygene, an sun ray into full cur with Paris the kitchen is not too vigorous, the spices used are soft, and are intended to raise the dishes, to fill with wonder the papillae and to invite to the voyage, without seeking to carry the palates. The dishes also want to be an invitation with the relaxation and lévasion. On the chart one finds now a small detoxifier with 38 euros, taking again the antioxydant ingredients of our food. More traditional, midday two formulas are found: an idea freshness to 18 including/understanding a large salad, a soft white cheese and a drink, and a formula flat midday entered or flat dessert with 20 euros. The evening a complete menu is proposed with 29 euros (entered - flat - serves). The sucker proposes a beautiful wine selection of Bordeaux and Coasts of Provence as well as a broad choice of wines dailleurs as of Chile, South Africa, Australia and even of Uruguay. The Spicy Villa is one of the good Parisian addresses today, canteen of the executives sup and the galerists of the Matignon avenue and all those which like to come here to slacken. |
